Warming to the new look iTunes. Some nice new bits and bobs been added
— 21 DecSTF Website
I’ve been doing a little tinkering on the Salford Type Foundry site today. Making the submission process a bit easier and making the site easier to update with content management.
If you have some spare time over christmas, get your typeface on our templates. It takes 30mins- 1hour to do. Updates will be added in the new year. Thank you
Just got some cool festive promo materials though the post from rockninecreative.co.uk
Merry Christmas guys!
I’m on placement with these guys at the moment. Great set of promo, hopefully bringing in more clients for 2013 :)

A little video that I’m using as research for my dissertation on the meanings of family photography.
Directed by Joseph Pierce
I came across this by using the BOB website which you use your athens log-in details to search, record and watch tv shows that can then be referenced in your bibliography.
Christmas deadline in Graphics means #qualitystreet moment
Was a nice christmas atmosphere in the Egg at Media City tonight for the first ever Alumni awards / moving christmas card screening. Well done to everyone that created work for it..
I went along to Blab mini 5 on tuesday which was part of the BENCH Self Made series of events over the next month. There were 6 speakers each talking for 15 mins on the subject ‘Thing’s I’ve Seen’.
Angela Roche of Design By Day talked about a Sci-Fi film, Primer by Shane Carruth who created it on a very small budget to great success.
Ruth Watson of Raw was really interesting. She talked about how a half-built skyscraper in Venezuela was taken over by a community of less fortunate people. They creatively use all the resources they have to make a home for themselves in the empty shell. And the successful Caine’s Arcade.
John Owens talked about a project he did in Libya.
Pip Rustage explained her love/ hate for perfume ads including this one
Stan Chow explained how he was influenced by simple fashion drawings of tall ladies and his dads record collection artwork.
Ross Mawdsley of Amaze is influenced by simple use of colour in designs. He also watches a lot of films. Which is something I need to make time for from time to time.
I was a really inspiring night. And I would recommend you get tickets for the next one in February. There are some videos of past Blabs on Vimeo
