Just working on a new alternative layout for the Salford Type Foundry home page. Ignore the letters, I just did those quickly as examples. When you hover over a letter it shows a red box with the name, student name and link to view the whole typeface. I feel like it’s an improvement on the original design as it puts more focus on the grid of type, but still keeps all the relevant information. The letters will randomly change but the problem will be how to represent each typeface fairly for the right amount of time. The large square, which shows the logo at the moment, could also act as a banner to highlight features or news. Still got to add another row of letters and a footer.
opinions?
