Alan Turing Royal Mail stamp
A few images from the trip to MOSI this morning in an attempt to get inspiration for the Alan Turing brief.
> Britain's Greatest Codebreaker
Great documentary about Alan Turing. Well worth a watch! Given me lots of ideas for the brief
Today was the official opening of our university building at Media City. Me and Jemma were working with the other students and staff on decoding and recoding different pieces of work submitted by all levels at Salford University and from across the world. These were then shown on the big screens in the egg space. It was a great experience and the visit from the Duke of Edinburgh was a big success!
I have uploaded a few more photos to the DNA group on facebook
The project is open to the public all next week so go and take a look!
Me and Jemma were selected to come and help out with the opening of Decode/Recode at MediaCity tomorrow. We were told that Prince Philip was going to have a wander around our Univerisity building and the Queen will visit MediaCity too!!
A simplified Bombe. The initial design of the Bombe was produced in 1939 at the UK Government Code and Cypher School at Bletchley Park by Alan Turing.
I’ve decided that my submission to Decode/Recode will be based on the circular patterns of Turing’s Bombe machine.
